PRODUCER | WRITER
Lauren Brown is a Brisbane-based producer/writer that has worked on a variety of both short and long form projects within the Australian film industry.
Since graduating from Griffith Film School with a Bachelor of Film and Screen Media in 2012, Lauren has produced a variety of different projects through her company Little Red Balloon Films, including several music videos, corporate videos and a number of short films including PRINCESS (2012), which screened at the Shorts Film Festival in Adelaide; FELL (2014) which screened in competition at Flickerfest (2015), and most recently GENTLEMAN (2016).
Lauren has also worked alongside producer Trish Lake at Freshwater Pictures on such films as Liselle Mei’s short film, SKIN (2014), the feature documentary FRACKMAN (2015), and the recently released feature drama EARLY WINTER (2015) directed by Michael Rowe.
In 2016 Lauren received development funding from Screen Queensland and completed a Business Industry Placement with local production company Hoodlum, where she worked alongside Nathan Mayfield and the team to develop her comedy web series LAST TOOLS.
Since then Lauren has gone on to complete her Masters in Screen Production at Griffith Film School, and was the recent recipient of the 2017 Australians in Film, Village Roadshow and Animal Logic Entertainment Internship.
Lauren is currently working alongside the team at Brisbane-based company Ludo Studio, and continues to write and develop her own projects.
